On completion of his medical education and surgery residency and Urology residency at Mumbai, Dr Sanjeev Kaul served as a lecturer at Grant Medical College and J.J Hospital in Mumbai before travelling to USA in 2002. At the Vattikuti Urology Institute in Detroit, USA under the able guidance of Professor Mani Menon, pioneer of robotic surgery in the World, he completed a fellowship in Robotic Urologic Oncology. Dr Kaul has been practicing Robotic Surgery for prostate, kidney and bladder cancer since 2003 and has performed over 1400 robotic surgeries such as radical prostatectomy, radical and partial nephrectomy, radical cystectomy, pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplantation, RPLND etc.

He is one of only two urologists in the world to have performed excision of a Kidney cancer IVC tumor thrombus with the robot.
